Sync edits across devices using iCloud#3

Sync all your edits, and custom filters across all your devices.

Context: the team is very excited to work on this, that being being said it’s going to take us a considerable amount of time to research and develop in order to do it well.

The prospect of this is ultra exciting. I find I’m using my iPad Pro more and more for work. It would be awesome to start edits on one device and finish up on another.

Regarding the last merge. Ensuring we backup edits properly to iCloud, for when you migrate decices and restore using iCloud, would be resolved if/when we tackle edit syncing cross devices as it would use CloudKit, which in turn would also enable backup and restore.

Any updates on this?

I just purchased lifetime and didn’t realize this was a feature. I know the new rendering engine has been being worked on, but do we have a more realastic timeline for this? Its a really critical feature for the workflow of a lot of people. Thanks guys.

Are there any updates on any of the top rated suggestions? I’d like to think there is a very excited community around this app. I have personally loved it and have adopted it into my photography workflow.

Sometimes it feels a bit stagnant on communication though. Are there any updates coming for these suggestions?

Hey guys. Any updates on this? Just looking for a little communication regarding this feature. When can we expect it?

I’m part of the Testflight beta testing for Darkroom 7. The MacOS version has been in beta for a couple of months now and I noticed the iOS version was just made available. That said, there is nothing in the release notes indicating that the sync edit feature has been included yet. My understanding is that it is coming, but I cannot say when.

I guess this is “planned” but will likely not happen…
