Context: the team is very excited to work on this, that being being said it’s going to take us a considerable amount of time to research and develop in order to do it well.

Merged sync across devices#53

The prospect of this is ultra exciting. I find I’m using my iPad Pro more and more for work. It would be awesome to start edits on one device and finish up on another.

Merged Backup edit history in iCloud#60

Regarding the last merge. Ensuring we backup edits properly to iCloud, for when you migrate decices and restore using iCloud, would be resolved if/when we tackle edit syncing cross devices as it would use CloudKit, which in turn would also enable backup and restore.

Is there any update on this? The lack of syncing between iOS and Mac OS has tripped me up a little. I was editing images during travels on an iPad but now want to continue on an iMac now I’ve returned to speed things up, but am unable to do so.

That’s what confused me, I saw this on the old roadmap post but didn’t see it working.

We are not too far off the mid-way point of the 2024 year and still no sign of anything on this front. Definitely moving on. I don’t even know what the point of editing photos on my Mac and not have access to my edits from another device.

I can’t believe this isn’t a option, just bought the lifetime subscription and it’s missing this key feature.

Even more incredible, this was supposed to be implemented a year ago.
