iOS External Monitor & Airplay Support, Mirror#31

D

It would be helpful if we could use a large external monitor (connected to an iPad) with Darkroom to make edits.

Use Case: iPad Air4 via USB-C to HDMI or AirPlay to a large monitor.

Darkroom does display on an external monitor a frozen view of ‘some’ of the media on an iPad Air4, but it only displays the most “Recent” photos on the iPad, NOT whatever the user is looking at in Darkroom on theiPad, its basicly frozen to one view.

Darkroom may be close to getting this to work as I did find if I use SPLIT SCREEN, and if Darkroom is on the RIGHT SIDE of my iPad, whatever I do in Darkroom is visible on the external monitor. But, if Darkroom is on the LEFT SIDE, the screen is frozen, In any case this does not work well and I need the whole screen.

Upvoting this. My need is that of using an external calibrated monitor to guarantee color accuracy across the Adobe RGB space.

Hi Jasper - Thanks for updating the Title, perhaps it needs even further refining. The problem I identified on the iPad (usinging USB-C to HDMI) is also duplicatetable on the i13ProMax iphone (using the Lighting connector to HMDI (Apples Adapter)). So from my standpoint, it’s an issue on iPad and iPhone. (iOS 15.1)As the ADMIN, you know best how to make sure this is clear. Thanks!

It would really be helpful if when using an External Monitor the Darkroom view was not frozen. (I’ve get a 32” monitor and would prefer to edit on that then my little iPad). Thanks!

This feature would be awesome and allow those of us that cant afford Adode to edit on a big monitor. Please see if you can get this to work.

i love the fact that i can quickly review photos in dark room. My wife and i take lots of photos of birds. I can sit on my iPad and quickly go through and “flag” or “reject” them. I tried mirroring from my iPad to the apple TV and that doesn’t appear to work. The apple tv only shows the recents screen and doesn’t change regardless of what is on the iPad in Darkroom. I will try split screen and having Darkroom on the right as noted above.

Having the ability to mirror to the apple TV would make it easier for my wife and I to review the photos.
