Extend support for raw formats and cameras beyond basic Apple raw support. Apple raw support ignores an increasingly large number of RAW formats, especially popular raw formats such as Fujifilm compressed raw and Nikon HE and HE* raw but also many others. Some photo editors that use Apple Photos as a DAM, such as raw Power and Photomator, have already implemented some extended raw support. Darkroom should to the same, and expand the list of supported cameras and RAW formats to make it a true Lightroom alternative.
Yes, and for OM System RAW files (.orf?).
Huh

In addition to this: Apple’s RAW support does some really weird stuff to files at times and applies opinionated processing that I might not really want. I’ve tried Nitro Photo (by the RAW Power dev), and it actually allows me to disable this in the settings. I had thought I’d enabled some noise reduction option on my α7 III by accident that had ruined an ultra-low-light shot I’d taken and turned it into splotchy and smeary soup, as that’s how it appeared in both Photomator and Darkroom, but it was just Apple’s processing…
